Sunken Gardens

Two parallel, and beautifully pollarded, red-twig lime walks lead from the house into two sunken gardens heavily planted with an array of perennial flowers and roses to scent the air.

The first lawn is bordered by the yew hedges of the rotunda, which frame the view of the hills beyond the river. Many ornamental trees have been planted in order to provide seasonal interest, and to further enhance the vista of the rolling Warwickshire countryside.

Each of the sunken gardens has a distinct planting scheme, and are named the Silver Sunken Garden and Golden Sunken Garden respectively.
